A rapid exit taxiway connected to a runway, is designed to allow landing aircraft to leave the runway at a speed greater than that allowed by traditional taxiway, and then decrease the time of occupancy of the track.
The main objective of the design is to speed taxiing of aircraft from the runway to the apron, and then increase the capacity of the airport.
Considering the type of traffic on the superstructure, it is considered appropriate to provide a multilayer package consisting, proceeding from top to bottom, from a surface layer of wear made with bituminous conglomerate closed, a connection layer or binder, a base asphalted layer, and a layer of mixed concrete foundation, supported by a layer of granular mix.
